The company has been accused of using unethical practices in the last two years and the new report by the consumer watchdog is the latest salvo in the fight against the cosmetics industry.
According to the latest report, the cosmetics companies in India spent $9.5 billion on cosmetics in 2015.
The cosmetics company has come under fire for the use of artificial ingredients in products and in some cases, the brands themselves have admitted that they have used artificial ingredients.
The report details how some brands are selling cosmetics without disclosing the ingredients used in their products.
This is not the first time that the consumer group has launched a consumer rights complaint against the brands.
The consumer group also filed a case against the brand for selling products without a labelling, in 2017.
In March this year, the group filed a complaint against BH Lashes for using artificial ingredients to create makeup, saying that this practice was a violation of Indian consumer rights.
The cosmetics company had responded by stating that it had not done so and would continue to comply with all requirements of the Consumer Protection Act.
