A woman who claims to have used Naked Cosmetics’ mascara for the first time in the US recently posted a video on YouTube of herself wearing the mascara, which costs around $60, on camera.
The beauty blog post has garnered more than 2 million views since it was posted on Friday.
In the video, titled “Shopping for the ultimate mascara,” a woman with blonde hair and a blue, open-faced T-shirt can be seen on a trip to the cosmetics store wearing the $60 mascara.
“It’s definitely not the easiest mascara to wear,” she said.
“It has to do with the brush and the mascara.”
“And it doesn’t last very long, so I’m kind of worried about it.”
The video was posted to YouTube by blogger Ashley Roussell, who said she was in New York to see friends who were going to be attending a conference.
“I’m excited to be wearing a mascara for a first time,” she says in the video.
“But I’m also nervous about it.
Because I don’t know if it’ll last long.””
I think the mascara has a lot of potential, but at this point I’m not sure if I’m ready for it,” she adds.”
But if I have to be honest, I’m definitely not going to let it go.”
Naked Cosmetics is not the only company to claim to have manufactured its own mascara.
The company’s founder, Shanti Sreenivasan, also told ABC News that she used a different brand of mascara.
She told ABC’s Good Morning America in September that she would use the company’s own brand of formula, and that it had “really long-lasting” and “seamless” lashes.
“So if you don’t want to pay the $600 for the full $60 formula, I have this $40 [sale] mascara and I have it on the side and I can wear it and it doesn and I don.
It lasts a long time,” Sreenasan said.ABC News’ Shari Goldberg contributed to this report.
